We’ve been getting a lot of calls and questions on when corned beef will be available. We’re prepping and will be serving both Saturday and Sunday! We will be open at 10 a.m. on Saturday for Kegs and Eggs. During that time we will be featuring $3 pints of Guinness, eggs and corned beef hash. From open to close on Saturday we will have $15 buckets of Bud or Bud Light. We will also be keeping with tradition and pouring green beer. And much more!! It’s only Wednesday and it’s already been a very productive week. **While remaining open for business: Modern Ceramics of Scottville finished up the first and largest phase of tiling in the new kitchen space. We can’t say enough good things about Albert, his professionalism and quality of work. He did an incredible job in a timely manner. We highly recommend his services. THEN... Our dear friend Janet Bulger worked with us in essentially stripping the ladies and men’s bathrooms in Sportsman’s. Janet is so amazing and generous. She has spent so many hours helping us and we can’t thank her enough. Both restrooms received new vanities, flooring, and new paint. Ladies... the toilet is straight. It really is the little things in life. 🤣😂 We are still wrapping up small finishes in the ladies and work is left to be done in the men’s but we’re getting there a little more each day. The changes to the bathrooms are merely cosmetic. In one to two years we plan to completely demo, gut and rebuild, but these are at least better for now. Here’s another sneak peak as well as a brief update on timeline: We will be opening/removing the OSB plywood for St. Patrick’s Day weekend to allow traffic to flow easier through Sportys and The Mitten since the new kitchen will be close to completion. Due to the size of this project, the number/ variety of subcontractors and inspectors much of our progress depends on the completion of one task before we can move to another. For instance, the size of a new stairwell impacted whether we could fit a 6 burner stove or if we would have to downsize. That then impacted the ordering of our new hood system which takes three weeks to fabricate. It’s been a game of inches. This is just one example of many. It’s complicated. We’re pretty sure this project has aged Brian at least 20 years, haha 😂 As a result, we are planning to be functioning in the new kitchen by 4/1 and that’s no joke. This project affects so much including our livelihood. It’s extremely important to us to do this right the first time. So we’re not hurrying to rush it. We thank everyone for taking the journey with us and being patient. We’re excited, nervous and mostly ready to be DONE.
